Director, Program Management

Michelle Dobson; an innovation engine developing advanced capabilities for national defense and commercial applications. As Programs Director, Michelle has experience to successfully manage DOD type programs within cost and schedule.

 

Formally Program Director of MIDS JTRS at Viasat, Inc. delivered 60% of revenue and 70% of margin for the Tactical Data Link Division. Strategic Business Development & Product Roadmap Development of a $1B Tactical Radio System from Technology development support of SBIR through Large $50M Developments. Led the development of internal and external teams culminating in the management of over 300 engineers and technical staff and a consortium of 45 International Government Customers and wide range of subcontractors. Lead contract negotiator with multiple awards over $50M. Championed multiple enhancement development programs included resources, schedules, budgets, risks, EVMS metrics and customer relations.

 

Prior to joining Viasat, Michelle worked at Northrop Grumman, ARINC Research and AEL, Inc. as a System Engineer and Project Engineer. She supported many programs focused on development and installation of navigation and communications systems on military aircraft. Has experience with internal and external monthly reviews, which included technical progress, schedule, EVMS, ETC, TPMs and risks.

 

Michelle has over 30 years engineering and management experience in hardware, software and integration DOD development programs.
