Mark Champagne

Director, Radio Frequency (RF) and Hardware Systems

Mark has over 35 years in the defense and commercial electronics industry. He has experience leading efforts to integrate communications systems onto military aircraft such as the C-130, C-17, KC-135, and E6-B among others. He has specific expertise in defining systems architectures, RF, and in electromagnetic compatibility and environmental compliance.

 

At GALT Aerospace, Mark manages a talented team of systems, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well as mechanical designers, technicians, and assemblers that comprise GALT’s Hardware Design Skill Center.  Under Mark’s leadership, the Hardware Design Skill Center has provided outstanding solutions across GALT’s programs.

Previously, Mark guided a team of mechanical and electrical engineers tasked with installing LOS and BLOS communications links on the Navy E6-B as well as A and B-kit modifications to the KC-135 in support of the ROBE TIG set and the Real Time Information to the Cockpit (RTIC) system on multiple C-130 variants. Mark has expertise in defining and deploying rugged embedded compute and networking resources and has over two decades of experience in RF design and test, military and commercial.

Prior to joining GALT Aerospace, Mark was employed by Northrop Grumman, TRW, L3 Communications, and General Atomics, and he served in the United States Army.
