Mark Kempf

Chief Operations Officer

Mark Kempf is the Chief Operations Officer of GALT Aerospace. Mark brings a proven record of supporting customers, effectively communicating with diverse stakeholder groups, and ensuring system performance, sustainment, and cost-effectiveness. 

Retiring from the Navy in 2019, Mark’s 26 years of military service started as an Army Aeroscout Platoon leader and Assistant Operation officer.  Following an interservice transfer, his Navy career included two combat deployments as E-2C Hawkeye Carrier Aircraft Commander and 15 years in acquisition and program management.  Mark served as the Program Manager for Battlespace Awareness and Information Operations, PMW 120, PEO C4I, where he was responsible for the lifecycle management of 24 programs and projects managing the delivery of Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR), Information Operations (IO), and Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) systems with an approximately $440M yearly budget and over $4B in life-cycle costs.   

 

Prior to joining GALT, Mark served as the Vice President of CP North America overseeing product and business development of the company’s standard and custom high-performance computing platforms, expeditionary displays storage arrays, networking hardware and datalinks for military, industrial, and commercial markets. 

 

Mark graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering), the Naval Post Graduate School (M.B.A.) and the Defense Acquisition University. He is designated as a Level III Defense Program Management and Production, Quality, and Manufacturing and a Level II in Systems Engineering.
