Ted Huskey

Director, Demonstration Verification and Test

Ted “Coach” Huskey is the Demonstration, Verification and Test Director at GALT.  As DVT Director, Ted is responsible for the overall development and test strategy critical to fielding rapid prototyping systems vital to the warfighters.

Ted served as a LAMPS helicopter pilot in United States Navy conducting anti-submarine, anti-surface and counter narcotics operations amassing nearly 2,000 flight hours in the mighty SH-2F and SH-60B aircraft. 

​

Ted was instrumental in the Navy’s Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) program as the technical lead for PEO C4I.  In this capacity, he helped define and bring to service the Navy’s implementation of Link 16 Beyond Line-of-Sight, Joint Range Extension to the Fleet and to the national Ballistic Missile Defense effort.  Ted went on to help shape the communication capabilities and configuration of the Navy’s most advanced ship-class, DDG  1000, ensuring our most advanced war ship would have the most technologically advanced communication capabilities commiserate to its mission.

Having started out in the enlisted ranks, Ted retired as a Commander in 2006 after 24 years of service.  He continued his service at Science Application International Corporation (SAIC) as a defense consultant on Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) on behalf of the US Navy.  He left SAIC in 2018 to join GALT and help develop a new vision for Joint Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications and Cyber.
